The Adopt-A-Unit Program
|

In 1993 FOCIS launched its Adopt-A-Unit Program, whereby individuals or corporations can support one unit (or share half of a unit) for a year by covering the unit's $10,000 annual operating costs. |
|
Sponsor donations are used to cover the annual operating costs of each unit. This includes food, personal hygiene supplies, bedding, Shelter utilities, upkeep and maintenance and professional counseling.
Each sponsoring company is invited to become directly involved with Shelter families. Company employees may share their expertise and talents by working one-on-one
|

|
with their adoptive families in areas such as job search preparation, mentoring, conducting resume-writing and budgeting classes, locating housing and tutoring. |
